Headhunter Games Privacy Notice
Effective date: November 3, 2026 · Last updated: November 3, 2026
Headhunter Games ("the games") are free leadership practice games from HireDirectNow, LLC ("HDN," "we," "us"), based in Irvine, California. This notice explains what information the games handle, why, and the choices you have. It describes what the games actually do today, and we'll update it before we change that.
The short version
- No account and no sign-up. You can play every game without giving us your name or email address.
- We don't collect your email. The games have no email box, newsletter sign-up or contact form.
- Your progress stays on your device. Scores, streaks, XP and settings are saved in your own browser. We don't receive them.
- Your answers stay on your device too. The choices you pick in each game are scored in your browser and are never sent to us.
- No selling, no ad tracking. We don't sell personal information, we don't share it for targeted advertising, and the games have no ad trackers, analytics trackers or tracking cookies.
- For adults. The games are made for adults 18 and older.
1. Who this notice covers
This notice covers the Headhunter Games web app at play.leaderswhorise.com and its installed (home-screen) version. It doesn't cover hiredirectnow.com, LeadersWhoRise.com or any other site the games link to; those sites have their own notices.
2. Information stored only on your device
The games use your browser's storage to remember:
- Settings: your seat (hiring or rising), game mode, sound, vibration and reduce-motion choices.
- Progress: best scores, streaks and streak savers, Daily Rep history, XP and level, and which cards and messages you've already played, so each game can keep showing you new content.
- Music: which track plays next.
- Session recap: the "What you learned this session" list. It's kept in session storage, which your browser clears when you close the tab.
What that means for you:
- This information never leaves your device and we can't see it.
- You can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings, or by removing the installed app.
- A service worker keeps a copy of the game files on your device so the games load quickly and work offline. It holds only the games' own files, not personal information.
3. Information you give us
Right now, none through the games. The games don't ask for your name, email address, phone number, employer, résumé, pay, or anything about your health, background or other sensitive topics, and there's nowhere in the games to type them.
If you email us. If you choose to write to us, we use your message and email address only to reply. Please don't send us real details about candidates or coworkers.
Future features. If we ever add an optional newsletter or a way to save progress across devices, it will be opt-in, and we'll update this notice before it goes live to explain exactly what we collect, why and for how long.
4. Information collected automatically
- Hosting. The games are hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic technical details (IP address, browser type, the files requested and the time) to deliver the site, keep it secure and stop abuse. We don't use these details to identify you or build a profile.
- Music loads from our own hosting, not from other companies' servers.
- No tracking by us or by others. The games contain no ad pixels, third-party analytics, social-media widgets or tracking cookies, so no other company can follow your activity across sites through the games.
- Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Because we don't track you across sites, the games work the same way whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. If we ever add tracking, we'll honor Global Privacy Control as an opt-out and update this notice first.
5. Who we share information with
We don't sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We only pass information to:
- Our hosting provider, which runs the games for us under a contract that limits it to doing that work.
- Authorities, if the law requires it, or to protect people's safety or our legal rights.
- A successor, if HDN or the games are ever sold or merged. This notice (or one at least as protective) would still apply to information collected before the change.
We don't share personal information with other companies for their own marketing.
6. Sharing your score
When you tap Share, your device's own share options open, or a score card image downloads and a link is copied. You choose where it goes. The link contains only the game seat (for example, ?seat=hire), not your name or your history. We don't receive anything when you share.
7. Age: the games are for adults
The games are made for adults 18 and older, because they deal with real workplace situations such as interviews, offers and hiring decisions. They aren't directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has sent us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
8. How long we keep information
- On-device data: until you clear it.
- Emails you send us: only as long as we need them to help you and keep a reasonable record of our conversation.
9. Your choices and rights
- Device data: clear it in your browser at any time.
- Requests: you can ask what personal information we have about you (in practice, at most any emails you've sent us), and ask us to correct or delete it. Email us from the address involved so we can confirm it's you. We won't treat you differently for asking, and we'll answer within 45 days.
California residents. We believe the California Consumer Privacy Act doesn't currently apply to HDN, because it covers businesses above set size or data thresholds that we don't meet. We offer the rights above to everyone anyway. We don't share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.
10. Security
The games run over HTTPS with a strict security policy that blocks scripts from other sites. No system is perfectly secure. If a security problem ever exposed your personal information, we'd tell you as the law requires.
11. Where information is processed
HDN is in the United States. Our hosting provider runs a worldwide network, so basic technical details may pass through servers outside the US while the site is delivered to you.
12. Changes to this notice
If we change this notice, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. For important changes, we'll show a notice in the games before the change takes effect.
